Connect Logistics is building its first warehouse in the Islamabad region. The site sits at Tarnol, on Main Fateh Jang Road in District Attock, and it will be our fifth city and our first facility in the north of the country.
For seventeen years our network has grown outward from Karachi, through Lahore, Multan and Khairpur, to the 119,000 pallet positions we operate today. Every one of those facilities was built rather than rented, because owning the building is what lets us hold a standard in it. Islamabad follows the same principle, and it closes the one gap our clients have asked about most often: dependable, purpose built, temperature controlled storage serving the Federal Capital, north Punjab and the corridor into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This post is our first public update on the project. We will keep it current as the structure goes up, so if you are planning northern capacity for 2027 it is worth bookmarking.

The nine acre plot has been laid out so that the remaining capacity, taking the site to 40,000 pallet positions in total, can be added in later phases without disturbing live operations.

Both halls will be operated on the same systems our other sites run on, so a client already storing with us in Karachi or Lahore will see the same inventory visibility, the same batch and lot traceability and the same reporting when Islamabad comes online.
Why Tarnol
Tarnol sits on the western approach to Islamabad, on the corridor that carries traffic between the capital, Attock, Peshawar and the north. For a warehouse that is the point. Product can reach Rawalpindi and Islamabad, move north into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or run south down the motorway network towards Lahore and onward, without threading through city centre congestion first.
The land is nine acres, which is what gives the project its headroom. It is enough for the Phase 1 buildings, the yard and dock apron they need, and the later phases that take the site to 40,000 pallet positions, all on one title and under one perimeter.

How Islamabad fits the national network
Connect Logistics currently operates 119,000 pallet positions, approximately 6,000 forty foot containers of storage, across four cities. Islamabad becomes the fifth.

Planning northern capacity for 2027
If Islamabad is on your own roadmap, the useful thing to know now is that Phase 1 capacity is finite and that we plan allocations well ahead of opening. Clients who tell us early what they will need, how much of it is frozen, chilled or ambient, and roughly when they want to start, get factored into the commissioning schedule rather than joining a queue after handover.
In the meantime, our existing network is live and has capacity today. Cold storage in Pakistan and our facilities cover what is available right now across Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Khairpur.

Where exactly is the facility located?
At Tarnol, on Main Fateh Jang Road in District Attock, Punjab, on the western approach to Islamabad. The position gives access to Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the route north into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the motorway network running south.
How much storage will be available?
Phase 1 is planned at 16,000 pallet positions, made up of 8,000 temperature controlled and 8,000 ambient, which is roughly 800 forty foot containers of storage. The nine acre site has been planned for up to 40,000 pallet positions in total across later phases.
What temperatures will the cold storage hold?
The temperature controlled chambers are designed to operate across the range from −25°C to +18°C, covering deep frozen, chilled and controlled ambient requirements on a single site.
Can I reserve space before the facility opens?
Yes. We are recording interest ahead of commissioning so that Phase 1 capacity can be allocated before handover. Tell us your volumes, temperature requirements and target start date and we will come back to you.
Where can I store in the north until Islamabad opens?
Our nearest operating facilities are in Lahore, at Sundar Industrial Estate, where we hold 33,000 pallet positions of mainly temperature controlled storage. Multan and Khairpur add further capacity in central and upper Sindh.
